Gohobi began in London in 2020, bringing together teaware, ceramics and everyday objects sourced from East Asian artisans and small workshops. The products already had quality and character. Our role was to give the collection a stronger point of view and create a brand people could recognise beyond what it sells.
The idea was found in the name itself. Gohobi means “reward” in Japanese.
We built the brand around thoughtfully chosen objects that make everyday moments feel more meaningful and rewarding.
The visual identity translates this through a Clean, Delightful and Breezy creative direction.
Inspired by the character of handcraft, the custom logotype brings subtle curves and human imperfections into a clean typographic system, while the three-star symbol represents small moments of reward.
Through art direction and Gohobi Moments photography, we moved beyond traditional product shots to capture the objects as part of everyday life, from shared tables and tea to quiet pauses and moments of delight.
Applied across packaging, print, signage and physical touchpoints, the new identity brings Gohobi’s diverse collection into one recognisable world. Rooted in East Asian craft and made for contemporary life, Gohobi is defined not only by what it sells, but by the point of view connecting everything it chooses.SERVICES

Gohobi Postcard Design

Gohobi means “reward” in Japanese. That meaning became the starting point for reimagining the London-based East Asian lifestyle retailer as a brand with a world of its own. Studio EYC developed the brand strategy, creative direction, identity and art direction around one idea: helping people choose objects that make everyday moments feel more meaningful and rewarding.
